    Satish S. Modi, M.D., F.R.C.S. (C)

    Satish Modi, M.D., F.R.C.S. (C) is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and LASIK Surgeon in New York where he has been providing medical eye care and surgical eye care to patients in the Hudson Valley region for over 25 years. At his offices in Poughkeepsie & Yorktown he provides LASIK, Custom LASIK and All Laser LASIK Surgery as well as other types of Laser Eye Surgery.

    Dr. Modi's frequent lectures and course presentations have resulted in his being recognized internationally as an Ophthalmic Surgeon with expertise in Cataract Surgery in New York and Lens Implants including presbyopia correcting intraocular lenses (IOL) such as ReStor and Crystalens in addition to LASIK Eye Surgery. He completed his Clinical Training in Ophthalmology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. In addition Dr. Modi continues to serve as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Modi has been providing Laser Eye Surgery with the Excimer Laser for Laser Vision Correction since its approval since 1995 and has been performing Laser Eye Surgery procedures including LASIK, Lasik Eye Surgery, Custom LASIK and other Laser Vision Correction procedures in the Hudson Valley region of New York since 2002.

    In addition to providing LASIK in New York, Dr. Modi is widely regarded as a Cataract Surgeon in New York where patients are comforted by his patient care philosophy of providing New York LASIK and Cataract Surgery patients with individualized and personalized care at every step of their eye surgery experience.

  • Andreas Wolter, M.D.
    Andreas Wolter, M.D.

    Andreas Wolter, M.D. is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Seeta Eye Centers where he provides general medical eye care and surgical eye care. Dr. Wolter is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C.

    In addition to achieving a military rank of Lieutenant Colonel prior to joining Drs. Alterman and Modi in Poughkeepsie, he served as a Staff Ophthalmologist at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and West Point as well as Chief of Service at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

    In his more than 13 years of active military duty and ophthalmology practice, he has obtained extensive experience in cataract surgery, medical, surgical and laser treatment of glaucoma, diabetic eye problems and diagnosis and management of retina disease such as Age Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD).

  • Dr. Adam Chubak
    Dr. Adam Chubak

    Dr. Adam Chubak attended Yeshiva University for undergraduate, where he graduated with honors and deans list for all four years. After undergrad he spent a year doing lab research at NYU under the direction of Dr. Daniel Rifkin analyzing TGF-Beta and its effect on heart development. Dr. Chubak then attended VCU for medical school where he led many student interest groups.

    After medical school, Dr. Chubak started his residency in Vascular Surgery at Mt. Sinai, completing his intern year in General Surgery and another year of vascular surgery.

    Ultimately deciding to become an ophthalmologist, Dr. Chubak went on to do a pre-residency fellowship in Ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate, and then joined SUNY downstate for ophthalmology residency. In his final year he was a chief resident and was the primary surgeon for many cataract and anterior segment procedures as well as emergent trauma. Dr. Chubak completed his corneal fellowship under the guide of Dr. Theodore Perl, focusing on transplants, refractive cornea surgery, and anterior segment surgery. He is involved in research and is a member of the AAO, ASCRS, and other ophthalmological professional organizations.

  • Yasha S. Modi, M.D.
    Yasha S. Modi, M.D.

    Yasha S. Modi, MD is an ophthalmologist, retinologist, and a vitreoretinal surgeon who currently serves as Assistant Professor of Retinal Diseases, Uveitis, and Vitreoretinal Surgery, Director of Uveitis, and Director of Tele-Retina at New York University.

    With a vast understanding of retinal vascular diseases, including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration, Dr. Modi places emphasis on individual patient care, enabling him to meet the specific needs of each patient he sees.

    Dr. Modi graduated from the Yale School of Medicine in 2010 before completing internships and residencies at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY, the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL, and the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute in Cleveland, OH. He has served as Principal-Site Investigator and Sub-Investigator on multiple clinical trials and experiments, and has served as Fellow in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute along with holding research and clinician positions at Yale and NYU. In addition, Dr. Modi has published multiple papers in the field of ophthalmology and is coauthor of The Yale Guide to Surgical Ophthalmology.

    Dr. Modi is on the Unite for Site board of directors, for whom he served as NYU chapter president for two years and as Director of International Chapter Development for four. During his time as Director of Chapter Development, he developed and helped sustain the organization’s Asian and African chapters.

  • Dr. Alice Wong, D.O.
    Dr. Alice Wong, D.O.

    Alice Wong, D.O. is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in medical retina. NYC-born-and-bred, she attended Barnard College, where she majored in English. In pursuit of a career in medicine, she then completed medical school at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

    As an osteopath, she believes in treating each patient as a whole system rather than simply as the sum of its parts, and actively incorporates this tenet into her work and patient-care philosophy. After medical school, she headed down to FL to complete ophthalmology residency at Larkin Community Hospital, where she served as co-chief resident. With a special interest in systemic diseases related to the structure and function of the retina, she underwent additional fellowship training in medical retina at UCLA. Over the course of her training, she has co-authored several papers and posters, and is looking forward to continuing the tradition of research and innovation that Seeta Eye champions. She manages many diseases of the posterior segment of the eye, including such common conditions as retinal vascular disease and macular degeneration. She is also fully trained in general ophthalmology, and is thrilled to return to NY to serve the ophthalmology needs of the local community.

    Melvin Guzman, O.D.

    Melvin Guzman, O.D. is an Optometrist at Seeta Eye Centers who has been providing comprehensive optometric eye care in the greater Hudson Valley, New York region for over 20 years.

    Dr. Guzman received his Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York (SUNY)-College of Optometry and commenced practice at Keller Army Community Hospital in West Point, N.Y. At Seeta Eye Centers Dr. Guzman sees patients for regular eye exams, routine and complex contact lens fitting, management of glaucoma and dry eye problems and assists Drs. Modi and Wolter in the ongoing care of eye surgery patients including laser cataract surgery and lens implants and LASIK.
