Intraocular Lenses We Offer
At Seeta Eye Centers, our expert eye doctors not only utilize the most advanced intraocular lens implants on the market, but we also help to develop and test them for FDA approval. As industry pioneers and innovators, we understand your eye care needs and we make a commitment to provide all of our cataract patients with the best care possible.
To ensure you achieve optimal vision correction, we offer several types of intraocular lenses including:
- Monofocal lens implants – These provide excellent vision after laser cataract surgery, but only at one set distance. Monofocal lens implants do not correct presbyopia or enable you to see close objects or even read without reading glasses or bifocals.
- Aspheric lens implants – Also a type of monofocal lens, these implants are uniquely designed to minimize or eliminate aberrations that can disturb some patients. This helps improve both contrast and sharpness of distance vision but will not improve near vision.
- Toric lens implants – For patients who have a considerable amount of astigmatism prior to cataract surgery, it is likely that we will recommend a toric lens implant. Like the monofocal and aspheric implants, toric lenses also do not correct presbyopia.
- Multi-focal lens implants – Unlike other intraocular lenses, multi-focal implants can actually correct both presbyopia and distance vision to provide you with excellent sight at a variety of distances. Depending on your specific needs, we offer several types of multifocal lens implants, including ReSTOR®, ReZoom and Crystalens
The cost of each intraocular lenses will vary and some may not be completely covered by your insurance, but our financing options can assist you with the management of any out-of-pocket costs. Our experienced eye care specialists will help you determine which intraocular lens implant is right for you and can answer any questions you may have during your consultation.
