Seeta Eye Centers is pleased to announce the addition of Yasha S. Modi, M.D. to our team of experienced Poughkeepsie ophthalmologists. A retinologist and vitreoretinal surgeon, Dr. Modi serves as Director of Uveitis and Tele-Retina at New York University where he is also assistant professor of Retinal Diseases, Uveitis, and Vitreoretinal Surgery.

Training and Experience
Dr. Modi has held research and clinician positions at both Yale and NYU and is the coauthor of The Yale Guide to Ophthalmic Surgery. He has also served as Principal-Site Investigator and Sub-Investigator on a number of clinical trials and has completed internships and residencies at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, and the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute in Cleveland.
While at NYU, Dr. Modi was the chapter president for Unite for Sight, a nonprofit that provides outreach, education, examinations, diagnosis, and treatment for a number of eye conditions for patients in developing nations. Dr. Modi also served this organization for four years as Director of Chapter Development, where he was integral in developing the nonprofit’s African and Asian chapters. He remains on the board of directors for Unite for Sight.
